First time visiting area and would 100% stay here again. Room and bathroom were extremely clean. I saw the housekeeper cleaning rooms around us and she was very thorough and kind! Close to the beach and pier. Was able to park directly in front of our room. Check in and out was easy and the staff are super friendly. Within walking distance of gas stations, stores, and some really good restaurants! Exactly as pictured, very modern/updated, AC worked well. Overall, I can’t say enough good things and have no complaints.

Recently had to evacuate from southern OBX an hour after our vacation started (Hurricane Erin), and found this gem in a hurry. We have nothing but the best things to say about this place! We loved everything about it: the rooms, the pool, location to the beach, the price, the staff, etc! We will definitely be returning, and shout out to Shaun and Valerie! Thank you for the BEST experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Room was great. It faced the ocean with a balcony, and was right on the beach. The room was roomy with stocked kitchenette. The bathroom was spacious. Rooms were very clean and decor was lovely. Beds were comfortable. Check in and check out were easy. Hotel located within a couple of blocks from shops and restaurants. Had a wonderful stay.

I booked the Deluxe Room for 4 People with Sea View. There is a large sand dune in front of the hotel, so if you want a clear ocean view, I recommend requesting a room on the 3rd floor. Second-floor rooms also offer balconies with ocean views, however, the view is partially obstructed by the sand dune. The room was neat and clean and included a small kitchen with appliances, silverware, a coffee machine, a dining table for four, a microwave, and a medium-sized refrigerator. Unfortunately, it was quite cold and extremely windy during our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the ocean view as much as we had hoped. That said, the view itself was very nice. A couple of issues we encountered during our stay: 1. Thin walls and unpleasant neighbor interaction The walls are extremely thin—you can easily hear neighbors talking and TV noise from adjacent rooms. We had unpleasnt neighbor interaction/confrontation. 2. Front desk not available This appears to be a privately owned hotel or motel with limited front desk staff. I tried to contact the front desk or a manager regarding the confrontation with our neighbor and also to request a hair dryer, but no one was available at the time. 3. Thin bed sheets Make sure to bring your own comforter or blankets. This could have been a perfect and memorable first visit to the Outer Banks, and unfortunately, it wasn’t.

The staff were so friendly and reassuring when I checked in. I wasn’t able to extend a reservation I initially made and had to create a second one. I was worried I made a mess for them but they made it so early for us to get to the next room easily. Both rooms we had were very cute, clean and nice and chilly especially with this extreme heat! Our first room (has 2 beds) was lovely, chilly and the shower was a great size! On our second room still just as lovely with some spots that need tlc but overall great for the few days here. The only downside was that on our second night we got to experience how thin the walls were. Both our neighbors got a bit rowdy at 3 am and woke us up. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back and maybe bring our pup along now that we found a lovely spot here!

Overall, this place is great. Location is perfect, right in the middle of everything and a quick, 2 minute walk across the street to the beach (with Mia’s boutique hotels own private entrance with feet washing station). Room was small, but nice and clean. Sheets, pillows, and mattress were clean and comfortable (I check every inch of a place for bugs). Pillows were comfy but cover is very thin, I recommend bringing a extra blanket! AC worked amazingly!! The room stayed at 66 at all times. Shower was great but bathroom very small. Bathroom door was very hard to open and close (to be expected at any ocean side location, wood expands with humidity). I had a great experience here and I would definitely recommend ! To be noted: this is a nicely renovated motel- keep your expected realistic. Pictures are realistic and do it justice. I stayed here July 12-15, in the 2 Queen bed room.

For the price it was pretty nice. It was clean, fairly priced, and obviously recently updated which is rare in this price range in the Outer Banks. The beds were firm, and it looked tidy as definitely smelled like it had been cleaned recently. Only drawbacks were the bathroom wasn’t quite as freshly updated as the room, it did have a strong odor of cleaning products and it was a little difficult to locate the office to check in. But the guy at check in was really nice, they had Wi-Fi info and gift of popcorn and overall was a good experience. Maybe just add more signage around the property as to where the office is located.

We paid 926.25 for 3 nights oceanfront in late September. That may sound high for an older property but an older property gives a much cooler oceanfront view, closer than anywhere else on the beach from our large private balcony to the actual surf. Unit 17 is 3rd floor end unit facing the pier, so lucky we got this unit! Best views. The price includes having our dog with us, and a small but serviceable kitchen. 3rd floor walkup. There was a parking space we could use each day without issue. Be aware that first floor unit views are blocked by the enormous sand dunes and in many properties so are the second floors, although this building the second floor does have a view just over the dunes. The door lock gave us some trouble but once we got practiced we did well. We only had one key to the unit, and we split up for different activities during the day, so we had to manage how to deal with the room access between us to share a key. They have doors with codes except for where that system isn't working. I would not rent the first floor. We were here on vacation after my husband went into remission from an aggressive cancer of his immune system. He's doing great but we needed a clean unit, so I put a note in the reservation. The unit is very clean inside. No mildew or gunky stuff in caulk and the kitchen was clean too. It's an older property encased in sand on the outside of it by being literally part of the beach but the indoors is very clean. There were no odors or insects. We could relax on our deck at any time and he wakes up at 3AM every day and we could be out here before sunrise. I watched each morning until the sun was about to come over clouds at the horizon and went to the beach for sunrise with the dog. This is what I was looking for exactly. Worth the price to me.
